Cosmos bag Zimbabwean striker Matema

JOMO Cosmos, hoping for a Premiership return, have signed Zimbabwean striker Ralph Matema ahead of the kickoff of the National First Division next month.

TheformerOrlando Pirates man was on loan at Witbank Spurs last season.

Anothernewplayer signed by Ezenkosi is former Under-23 national captain Lynch Pule, who joined them two weeks ago from African Warriors.

Ezenkosi players and officials will celebrate Mandela Day with the community of Tumahole in Parys, Free State, today.

"We will also play a friendly match with Parys Invitation at 2.30pm, which will also help us identify more talent," said Cosmos marketing manager Randzo Sono.

Cosmos will also host trialsforyoungstersfrom Parys to build a solid support base at their new home, according to club boss Jomo Sono. The trials will be held at the local sports ground near the town's fire department tomorrow.

Cosmos have relocated to Parys after signing an agreement with the municipality to play their home matches at Fezile Dabi Stadium in Tumahole in the new season.

"The support we are getting in Parys and surrounding areas is superb. We expect it to grow once we have some of the boys from the area in our team," said Sono yesterday.

In KwaZulu-Natal, new NFD side Royal Eagles have signed Zimbabwean internationaldefenderLincoln Zvasiya.

Elsewhere,BarokaFC haverecruitedstriker Caswell Chauke from Winnerspark,Desmond Mphahlele from their SAB Regional League side and goalkeeper Davies Modiba from Dolphins.

Milano United have netted Lee Langeveldt, Nasief Morris, Waseem Isaacs, Brent Adonis,EdwardWilliams and Dumi Tau.
