Buccaneers sign keeper number 4

GHANA goalkeeper Fatau Dauda's future with Orlando Pirates is uncertain following the arrival of Philani Zikalala.

Zikalala, who has penned a three-year deal with Pirates, travelled to Mpumalanga with his new club yesterday for a 12-day pre-season training camp.

The 30-year-old from KwaMashu in KwaZulu-Natal joined Pirates at the weekend after leaving AmaZulu at the end of last season.

He became the fourth keeper on Bucs' books and joined a list that includes No.1 Senzo Meyiwa, Dauda and Brighton Mhlongo.

Following his time with Ghana at the World Cup, Dauda is likely to be put on transfer as he still has a two-year contract with Pirates, who have also signed striker Tebogo Mosaole from NFD side Santos.

Central defender Mashale Rantabane is also in Mpumalanga with Pirates after signing a three-year deal with the club. Rantabane is from NFD side Maluti FET College.

Meanwhile, striker Ndumiso Mabena is expected to sign with Platinum Stars this week as a replacement for Siphelele Mthembu, who has since joined Kaizer Chiefs.

Moving to Chippa United, the Premier Soccer League returnees have signed goalkeeper Veli Motha from NFD outfit Baroka FC.

In the Free State, Bloemfontein Celtic have acquired the services of midfielder Sici Shelembe from Witbank Spurs.

Former Dikwena skipper Stanley Kgatla is searching for a new club after Mpumalanga Black Aces released him at the end of the season.

Kgatla, who has also played for AmaZulu, is linked with a move to University of Pretoria and Polokwane City.
