Patosi, Keet face off

IT WILL be a busy weekend for South Africa's stars in Europe, not least for Ayanda Patosi and Darren Keet who will clash in Belgium.

Patosi's Lokeren host Keet's Kortrijk tomorrow in a game that could be of vital importance in deciding which makes it into the top six teams after the regular season and therefore advances to the Championship play-off.

It will also be an interesting meeting between one of the league's best attacking stars in Patosi and one of Belgium's better goalkeepers.

There is also a huge clash for Anele Ngcongca's Genk, who travel to league leaders Standard Liege on Sunday desperate for a win that would keep them in the title race.

Three losses in their last four league games have seen Genk slip six points behind Standard.

Kagisho "KG" Dikgacoi's recent revival with Crystal Palace will get a stern test when he takes on Jose Mourinho's Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Dikgacoi has been in good form as Palace keep their survival hopes alive with three wins in their last four games, but Chelsea have proven almost invincible at home in the Premiership this season.

Steven Pienaar's Everton could move as high as second if they get a win at home to Fulham and other results go their way.

Bongani Khumalo and Dean Furman will face a club with plenty of South African connections when their Doncaster Rovers side tackle Leeds United, the side Lucas Radebe is currently trying to buy.

Tokelo Rantie will hope to get back into the Bournemouth starting line-up when they host Birmingham City.

In Holland, Kamohelo Mokotjo's side PEC Zwolle face Heerenveen tonight, while Thulani Serero must get over the disappointment of his Uefa Champions League exit with Ajax Amsterdam when they travel to lowly Cambuur on Sunday.

Daylon Claasen has already been ruled out of Lech Poznan's match-up with Zawisza Bydgoszcz tonight as he continues to struggle with a bicep injury. Both Siyanda Xulu (FC Rostov, Russia) and Lebogang Phiri (Brondby, Denmark) have begun their winter breaks and will not be in action against until March and February next year respectively.
