BANYANA Banyana coach Joseph Mkhonza is creating a bigger pool of players in preparation for the Cosafa Women's Cup.

Mkhonza and his assistant Jerry Laka have called-up 14 new players for an international friendly against Mozambique in Mbombela on June 9.

"We identified them during the Sasol national club championships and we will gradually integrate them into the squad," said Mkhonza. "There are many regular members of the team who are not available for this camp because they are busy with their mid- year examinations.

"We decided to bring in the players identified in the past few weeks to come and be introduced to international soccer."

The game against Mozambique will be the first for Banyana since they finished 11th at the Cyprus Women's Cup in March.

"We will also use the game as part of our preparations for the Cosafa Women's Cup in Namibia in December.

"The plan is to have a well-oiled team by November because after the Cosafa Women's Cup, the big event will be the 2014 African Women's Championship where the top three teams will go to the 2015 Fifa World Cup in Canada.

"After qualifying for the 2012 London Olympics, our dream is now to go to the World Cup. We want to make history by being the first team to qualify for all these global competitions."

The Banyana players who assembled in Johannesburg yesterday are:
