FREE State Stars coach Steve Komphela has shifted his focus to Mamelodi Sundowns, saying he'll watch their every move, after his team saw off Amazulu in Durban on Saturday.

Sundowns face Bloemfontein Celtic this Saturday in the Telkom Knockout final before they face the Free Staters next in a league game next week Wednesday.

"You have to profile your opponent. We will look closely at Sundowns [but] they are more of an open book - you know exactly what they will do. It's a questions of, do we have the quality and intention on the day to apply ourselves?" Komphela asked.

Although Komphela said a draw would have been a fair result in the match against AmaZulu, he was, however, delighted with his team's late 1-0 win, which took the club into the top-eight bracket.

Although Sundowns have leaked several points this season, Komphela insisted that they were by no means sitting ducks.

"I am very respecting ... it does not matter if a man is weak. Look at what happened between Platinum Stars and Kaizer Chiefs - because Platinum Stars went there with respect, they hit Chiefs (2-0 on Saturday)."

AmaZulu have eight days to pick up the pieces and regroup to get out of the relegation zone before they travel to Peter Mokaba Stadium to face Black Leopards, who beat University of Pretoria 2-1 on Saturday.
