Stars vow to bounce back

FREE State Stars see the 4-0 drubbing handed to them by Platinum Stars at the weekend as a big wake-up call.

"We must stop underestimating other clubs if we are serious about winning any silverware," said Ea Lla Koto general manager Rantsi Mokoena, whose club will be away to Wits in the Telkom Knockout at Milpark on Saturday at 8.15pm.

"The team played badly on Saturday. I think the problem is that we won the match long before arriving in Phokeng.

"The game against Wits will be equally tough. They are a different side from the one we beat 2-0 in the opening league match of the season. but I'm confident that we will bounce back at their expense."

He is worried about an ankle injury to defender Oluwafemi Gege.

Wits are fresh from a 1-all Absa Premiership draw with SuperSport United last weekend. Saturday's game will also be an opportunity for coach Antonio Habas to give players like Tlou Molekwane and Ebrahim Seedat a run.
