THE SA SuperSport Schools Shootout is reaching its climax with the semi finals and final scheduled for Johannesburg this weekend.
It will take place at Sacred Heart College in Observatory on Eksteen avenue.
The four schools that have qualified for the semifinals are Paballelo, Rietvale, Mohloli and Benny's Sports Development and Academy.
The semifinals will take place today (Fri) with Paballelo and Rietvale meeting in the first game at 3.15pm.
Mohloli meet Benny's Sports Development and Academy in the second match 16:30pm.
Both matches will be shown live on SuperSport 4. The losers will meet in a third place play off match at 9.30pm tomorrow (Sat).
The final, which will also be live on SuperSport 4, will start at 1pm where Sport and Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula and soccer bosses will also be in attendance.
Apart from the fireworks on the field, the organisers have roped in Idols finalist Lloyd Cele to perform today and tomorrow.
There will be plenty of amazing giveaways, including DStv Walkas and SuperSport hampers for the multitudes of supporters who will be present.
The Orlando Pirates duo of Andile Jali and Sifiso Myeni will also be there to offer motivational talks to the youngsters competing at the tournament.
Tournament director Shardi Matthews said they were delighted that the tournament has been a resounding success to date.
"It has been a wonderful tournament and has taken off in a great way with various stakeholders supporting it.
"We are planning a bigger and better one next year, the good thing is that some of the talented youngsters will get opportunities to try their luck with professional clubs.
"We have lined up matches where our All Star Team will play some of their games against PSL and National First Division clubs," Matthews said.
