Play it again Sam, Tuks cry

UNIVERSITY of Pretoria (Tuks) have sent an SOS to former coach Sammy Troughton with the hope that he will assist them to qualify for the National First Division promotion playoffs at the end of the season

Tuks are third on the Inland Stream log with 27 points, two behind second- placed Black Leopards and 11 behind leaders Jomo Cosmos.

Tuks' manager Kenny Neluvhalani said yesterday they believed that Troughton's NFD experience would get them through.

"Sammy will assist the technical team, but Steve Barker and his assistant Sly Mosala retain their positions," Neluvhalani said.

Troughton said: "I believe that my presence will inspire the boys to do well. I have worked with Steve and Sly in the past and I think that our combination will assist the club to be promoted."

Tuks's next match is against bottom side Batau FC at LC de Villiers stadium in Pretoria tomorrow afternoon.

Batau's coach Shepherd Murape said "morale is high at the team following a couple of positive results".
