Chiefs will do it– Shabba

Cape Town will see Kaizer Chiefs go to the top of the Absa Premiership table for the first time this season.

Kick off is 8.45pm. Amakhosi visit the Urban Warriors at Cape Town Stadium tonight. Chiefs are second, a point behind Mamelodi Sundown on the table, so three points will put Chiefs ahead of Downs by two. Fourth-placed Ajax will also cause havoc at the top if they beat Chiefs.

The Cape Town side have 24 points and there will be a dead heat with Sundowns at 27 points should Ajax upset Chiefs.

This clash forms part of the double header that will see Vasco Da Gama entertain SuperSport United in the first match at 6pm. Chiefs' 1-0 win over Sundowns last weekend makes them the favourites to beat Ajax. In fact AmaKhosi are on a high, having beaten all the big-name clubs.

But the downside for them going into tonight’s match is that they'll be without the suspended duo of Siphiwe Tshabalala and Valery Nahayo. Tshabalala said the club should still do well in their absence: "There is enough depth in the team – I think they will do well even though Valery and I will not be playing."

Captain Jimmy Tau has a job on his hands to rally his troops and lead them to a win, which could be vital if they intend to win the league this season.

Ajax will also be minus striker Thembinkosi "Terror" Fanteni, who has also been suspended. But the Urban Warriors are a formidable side and Chiefs will have to keep a eye on the likes of Sameehg Doutie.

Meanwhile at Mbombela Stadium tonight, Mpumalanga BlackAces welcome Bloemfontein Celtic at 8pm. Tomorrow at Lucas Moripe Stadium, Sundowns host Maritzburg United (6pm).
