Modise loses appeal over Malema’s ‘Marikana massacre’ comments

The Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) has ruled in Julius Malema’s favour in a case filed by Thandi Modise over his “Marikana massacre” comments in Parliament.

According to News24‚ the SCA on Friday dismissed the appeal by National Council of Provinces chair Modise.

The Western Cape High Court ruled in August that she was wrong in asking the Economic Freedom Fighters leader to leave the National Assembly for saying the government massacred the Marikana mineworkers in 2012.
