Police believe that fights between rival gang of illegal miners has left 15 dead over a period of three days.
“All the victims were shot dead with different calibre of firearms‚” an SAPS statement on the killings at Grootvlei‚ Springs said.
“A possibility of gang fights within the illegal miners might have been the motive for the killings.
“The victims have not yet been identified and no one has been arrested.”
Police said “a reward will be offered for any information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspects”.
