East London’s Cambridge cemetery appears to be becoming a hotspot for crime.

In one recent incident‚ the remains of a former SA National Defence Force soldier‚ Victor Sputla Mlungwane‚ were stolen. Buffalo City Metro employees discovered the coffin had been dug up and left open next to the headstone. The remains were missing.

The deceased’s distraught family have no idea who could be responsible.

In other incidents on Sunday‚ two people were robbed of cash‚ cellphones and tools by three knife-wielding robbers in the cemetery while visiting the graves of loved ones.
