Gauteng motorists can expect delays on both the east- and west-bound carriages of the N14 between Diepsloot and the intersection with Hendrik Potgieter Road‚ the department of roads and transport said.

Vehicles will be accommodated past work sections in one lane in each direction for the expected 18-month duration of rehabilitation works on this section of road.

“The project involves the reconstruction of the base in slow and fast lanes‚ construction of new concrete-lined side drains‚ the application of new road markings‚ construction of new bridge parapets and the reinstatement of fences and guardrails where required‚” the department said.

The design life of the rehabilitated road is 15 years‚ the department said‚ adding that it appeals for patience and apologises for the inconvenience caused.
