Man dragged by bus, loses arms

A Durban man was knocked over by a bus on Tuesday and dragged underneath it, paramedics said.

The accident took place around 1pm.

ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks said both the man’s arms had to be amputated after he was dragged for five metres underneath the bus.

The man, in his 40s, was in a critical condition and taken to a nearby hospital, Banks said.
