Grandchild questioned by police
The burnt body of an elderly woman was found outside her house in Mamelodi, Pretoria on Wednesday, police said.
Captain Johannes Maheso said neighbours called the police when they saw the 88-year-old woman’s body lying near her door outside her house.
She lived alone, but was also renting out rooms in her yard.
The woman’s 46-year-old grandchild was taken in for questioning.
