TALKING RELATIONSHIPS: Mandisa Mahlobo
TALKING RELATIONSHIPS: Mandisa Mahlobo

FORMER Nokia Siemens executive Linda Khumalo has been accused by his ex-wife of failing to pay for his children's maintenance.

Mandisa Mahlobo, who was married to Khumalo for seven years, said he was R56,800 in arrears for the two children he fathered while they were still married.

"He lost his job last year in February but I know he has money. He lives in a double- storey house in Midrand and drives a Lexus, while his wife drives a Mercedez-Benz. He claims the house and all their possessions belong to his wife.

What I don't understand is how she can afford it when she only works as a personal assistant," Mahlobo said.

In a signed affidavit Khumalo's wife, Letta, concedes that she works as a PA at Rand Water and that she owns the house.

"The house is in my name and its contents which consist of furniture and electrical appliances," says the affidavit.

But, Mahlobo is not buying it: "While he is busy inflating his ego, his children are suffering. The children he has with his new wife attend Crawford College, which is a private school, but my children's school fees have not yet been paid."

She also said Khumalo's interference in her life put a strain on her relationships.

Khumalo said he was astounded that Mahlobo decided to air his laundry in public.

"I am shocked that she spoke to the media about this. This is a private matter that is currently going through the courts," Khumalo said.

Mahlobo said she would meet Khumalo in court again on December 21, when she would convince the magistrate to issue a warrant of execution.
