Petrol gets cheaper

The price of petrol will decrease by 10 cents a litre on Wednesday August 4, the Energy Department has announced.

This means petrol in Gauteng will cost R8.17 a litre, and people at the coast will pay R7.93 a litre.

Diesel prices will also decline, with 0.05% sulphur falling 13 cents per litre and 0.005% sulphur also declining 10 cents per litre.

Wholesale paraffin will decrease by 15 cents, and illuminating paraffin will go down by 20 cents per litre.
