This is based on Sowetan's observation of Munyai's gruelling session on Tuesday at John Whitehead's Ellis Park Boxing Academy.
Munyai is hard at work preparing for the second defence of the WBA International belt he won in 2008.
Trainer Elias Tshabalala took Munyai through a gruelling hour-long training session yesterday to fine-tune his charge for the fight.
Ferreras is from the Philippines, which breeds tough cookies such as six-time world champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, who was recently voted fighter of the decade.
Ferreras will require poise to douse the fire in Munyai, who promised a combustible debut at the Palace of Dreams, as Emperors Palace is widely known in boxing circles.
"The only thing that I am willing to say right now is that fight fans will be taken through a journey of discovery," the shy Munyai told Sowetan after Tuesday's training session.
"I will be a marvel to watch in each and every round."
The local boxing fraternity has seen only glimpses of Munyai, who established himself in the UK by winning the Commonwealth belt from that country's hot prospect Martin Powers and defending it twice there.
His achievement earned him both the International Fighter of 2006 and inaugural Danny Mancini award.
Mancini played a pivotal role in the development of boxing in Commonwealth countries.
At the training session, Tshabalala interrupted Munyai, who was hitting punch bags like a man possessed.
"Don't just throw punches," Tshabalala warned before donning jab pads.
"Get your balance right, plant your feet down before you throw a punch."
Munyai spent the remaining minutes of the session training his charge to perfect the art of turning his opponent around when trapped in a corner.
"This is a sign of superb fitness," Tshabalala said, before shouting "and still the WBA International bantamweight champion".
He taped Munyai from behind and off they went.
