Awesome performance at the Manhattan Club

IT'S the life of glitz, glamour, bling and hanging out with beautiful people and, oh, we love it when there is a hot party on a Thursday night . even more when free phone giveaways are in the mix.

We were hanging out at the fancy Manhattan Club for the "What Colour is Your Life Break Up Party" that has such a cosmopolitan feel from the décor to the people who party there.

You know a club is rocking when you get there at 7pm and the queues are long and you are singled out as the funky fresh Akulalwa crew and receive the VIP entrance.

The club itself was transformed beautifully by the Samsung team and hundreds filled the dance floor to see what the event was about.

In a time of economic crisis, in which expensive phones mean an allowance of R30 airtime a week, Samsung have come up with a great phone that is relatively cheaper but has great accessories for the phone.

Imagine a phone that's got touch screen, easy for supporting the casual social networking systems such as Face book, Twitter and MySpace.

And the phone is very affordable and funky looking.

The Samsung Corby dance crew got the party moving with their awesome choreography and fresh attire, then rock band Cassette had an awesome performance at the club which felt weird at first as I did not know the group songs till a handful of the Corby dancers helped this darkie out and soon was screaming the group's choruses out.

Well, first on my Christmas list is buying a copy of Cassette album and support Mzansi artists.

Talking about hot Mzansi artists, I was quite shocked that DJ Fresh has become one of the most universally known DJ's in the market.

Not many DJs can say they have a strong following in all racial segments and wow, what a set the "Fresh One" delivered. It is a fact that DJ Fresh is the bomb.

Wonder if he is still married. We girls can dream.
