Aucur Namibia has been instructed by Weatherly Mining Namibia, a division of Weatherly International Plc, to dispose of a vast range of equipment believed to be the biggest sale of its kind in Africa this year.

The goods range from late model underground equipment - including drill rigs, bolters, scoop trams, dump trucks, telehandlers, scalers and motor graders, and surface equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, bulldozers and excavators - to diesel locomotives and several trucks and LDVs that are in excellent condition.

Many wellknown brand names associated with this industry are on offer at the auction, including Atlas Copco, Tamrock, CAT, Tata, Bell and others. Of special interest are three Hunslett locomotives, which buyers should snap up at a song.

Recently Aucor in South Africa had outstanding success with late model heavy equipment and realised more than R2,5million for two CAT excavators, and Aucor Namibia expects similar success with its auction.

"We have had an unprecedented international response to this auction and advise all who are interested to make sure they view the goods before the sale," said Aucor's Neil Engelbrecht.

He added that anyone interested in having the equipment demonstrated should contact him on +264-811282671.

Viewing will take place at the Otjihase Mine, Airport Road (B6), Windhoek, on Tuesday, March 31, and on Wednesday, April 1, or by appointment. The auction is on Thursday, April 2, at 10.30am.
