Black farmers must keep feeding nation

Since the inception of the land reform programme, many claims have been lodged.

Since the inception of the land reform programme, many claims have been lodged.

The question is, will claimants utilise the land productively?

Like Zimbabwe, South Africa is likely to suffer from low food production if land beneficiaries do not use their land efficiently. Land should be used to benefit the country's economy.

In Zimbabwe whites were dispossessed of their farms, which were given to unskilled black farmers. This resulted in serious food shortages. I urge land claimants to make claims to mitigate ever escalating food prices.
