ANC in NW up to its old tricks

After trying to fool the national executive council with empty, hypocritical rhetoric about support for Jacob Zuma, the provincial executive council in North West has gone back to its old ways of marginalising comrades who champion Zuma's cause.

After trying to fool the national executive council with empty, hypocritical rhetoric about support for Jacob Zuma, the provincial executive council in North West has gone back to its old ways of marginalising comrades who champion Zuma's cause.

We have been vindicated in our earlier assertion that the provincial executive committee "support" for JZ, offered in the run-up to the Pietermaritzburg high court case this month, was nothing but a decoy to distract the NEC from the irregularities orchestrated in the run-up to and during the provincial conference.

Then the central region (Mafikeng) connived to exclude genuine delegates from taking part in the regional conference.

They chose the army barracks as the venue for the conference, thinking our comrades would be afraid to raise their issues about this malpractice.

I hope that the national task team members sent to the province by the NEC have seen for themselves the kind of crooks who occupy strategic positions here.

We call on all our comrades from other provinces who have a say in the NEC to expose these tricksters and fraudsters for what they are.

It's about time the ANC acts decisively against them.
