It seems our beautiful country, with its theoretically "perfect democracy", is all but doomed.

How does one convince the outside world that crime is under control in South Africa when an innocent soul can be killed for a cellphone, let alone other crucial assets such as jewellery, cars and household goods.

I have been a victim of crime and it's clear we live in a society in which criminals are on the loose to cause pain to the innocent.

The lawmakers of this country are to blame for this situation.
