Ghana coach full of confidence
Ghana's coach Sellas Tetteh is optimistic that they will beat Lesotho in their qualifier for the 2010 Fifa World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations that same year.
The qualifier is destined for Sunday at Free State Stadium, with kickoff at 6pm.
The Black Stars arrived in Bloemfontein yesterday with a full-strength team.
They were welcomed by Obakeng Molatedi, Safa's national executive committee member and Shuping Seboko, Safa Motheo region president.
The determined Ghanaian coach said they have come to South Africa with a mission to salvage full points.
"We have an injury-free team. We obviously will be gunning to collect full points and cannot afford to underrate our opponents," Tetteh said.
The Black Stars have, among others, the strong as an ox goal poacher Junior Agogo and Chelsea's nuggety midfielder Michael Essien.
Tetteh said their use of their big name players underlines how serious they are to to qualify for the two prestigious competitions.
"We don't have much information about the opposition. We are still on a mission to find out about them. But that is not a worrying factor. We have players to match them," said the Ghanaian mentor.
Tetteh said they opted to arriving on time in order to have his charges adapt to the weather conditions in the country.
