The most famous and biggest consumer exhibition, the Rand Show, comes back for the 113th time this year.

Lovers of this exhibition should brace themselves for another exciting programme that includes music and other fun activities.

This year the event will run from March 21 until April 6.

The Rand Show is known for its diverse exhibitions that include everything from outdoor camping and water sport equipment, through to interior design and furniture, international pavilions and food vendors that cater for every taste and preference.

This year, it continues where it left off last year, offering a distinct family experience that has stood the test of time.

Ryan Downing of Kagiso Exhibitions explains: "2008 will see many brand-new additions to the entertainment line-up that are thoroughly exciting, many of which will be firsts at the show. People Bollywood Festival and Joyous Celebration have grown into powerhouse events over the past few years and are confirmed headline concerts to be staged during Rand Show 2008.

"The entertainment line-up for our younger visitors is undergoing a complete transformation, adding a bit of nostalgia by reintroducing the much-loved character parades in addition to offering an action-packed entertainment line-up that is tailored for the youth."

An entrance ticket is a valuable commodity that grants unlimited access to Gauteng's premier day-visit destination during the Easter holidays.

Once inside the show grounds, there is no additional entry fee to any of the entertainment events offered, with the exception of the amusement park, helicopter and adrenaline-thrill rides. Tickets for adults cost R55 and children will pay R25. Car parking costs R15 a vehicle.
