Police are again looking for one of the suspects involved in the murder of King Edward VII pupil Mfundo Ntshangase.

The boy and his parents failed to appear in the Randburg magistrates' court yesterday. No explanation was given.

Seven schoolboys are implicated in the death of Ntshangase, 17, of Meadowlands, Soweto.

Ntshangase died at Olivedale Hospital after he was stabbed twice in the chest and once in the back during a birthday party in Randburg, after a school social event on September 16.

The seven schoolboys, aged between 16 and 17, were arrested soon after.

Six of them were released into the custody of their parents while the seventh was held by police.

Three of the boys were not in court yesterday and magistrate Stanley Mkhari immediately issued a warrant for their arrest. The guardians of the three boys also failed to show up for the hearing yesterday.

Later, defence lawyer Moleko Ratau presented letters stating that one of the boys was sick while the other one was writing his examinations.

A sixth boy later appeared in camera for bail application. Bail was again denied.

The case for all was postponed to December 10.
