The 2010 Limpopo Black Business Forum will hold a meeting in Polokwane on Friday to discuss World Cup business opportunities for their members.

Kedi Mabotja, the forum's chairman, said: "We will be getting feed-back from various sub- committees on their progress relating to the World Cup.

"The sub-committees that we have appointed deal with tourism, security, transport, infrastructure and merchandise.

"For instance, the Limpopo Tourism Club was launched a few weeks ago. They are coming up with some great projects for the tourism and leisure industry.

"Also to benefit are people in accommodation and tour operators. Those guys are in the process of developing their website.

"We were in Thohoyandou two weeks ago where we had a meeting with businesspeople in the tourism industry to deal with marketing and services.

"We are trying to reach all the businesspeople in Limpopo. Polokwane is a host city but there are opportunities for businesspeople throughout the province.

"Another report-back will be of a recent meeting between the bus operators' task team and the department of transport. As a forum, our objectives are to identify opportunities and build capacity for our members. It is clear our people need training."

Other executive members of the forum include Mantombi Mapanzela, Tom Boya, January Nale, Raleigh Maisela and Herman Mangwale.
