Victor Mecoamere

The Stop Crime Drama Festival's opening night featured enthralling songs and dancing by erstwhile disco queen Mercy Pakela, of Ayashisa Amateki fame.

Several other guest acts made the night memorable and interspersed the drama with variety.

They included Herebedesh, a tragi-comedy by veterans Darlington Michaels, Mike Lubisi, Jerry Phele and Jabu Nkosi, and dance demonstrations by the Maletangoao Cultural Troupe, Portents Dance Productions and Usuthu Arts Foundation.

Choral music was presented by Molopo Choral Group and the UniWest Chorale.
