Positive things about working during festive season

So its December, does holiday season ring a bell to you or are you one of those stuck in the office working hard while others vaccay, party all night and sleep all day.

Should you not be looking forward t o spending time at work while your family and friends live the party season life.

Take these five things into consideration and make December your happiest working season.

  1. No traffic - This means there is no need for you to spend an hour or two on the road trying to make your way to work. Everyone is away and sleeping in, as you make your way to work traffic free.
     
  2. The office is less stressful - When there is chaos some find it hard to work smoothly, you may be playing boss for the month and you can work at a pace that is fun and enjoyable.
     
  3. Whilst you feel like working during the festive season is boring, remember someone out there may have been forced to take leave because their company is shutting down, but while at home they are bored because they have nothing to do.
     
  4. More Money - Sometimes working when everyone else is less interested means more money, it could be over time and it's a way to increase your finances.
     
  5. Recognition- You may be that hard working individual who is underlooked but when there is no one to overshadow you, your chance of recognition could be this season. This may result in a promotion going into the new year.
     
  6. You will be seen as a team player - If you have a good attitude about working on a holiday and you don’t complain, this could go a long way toward having your boss see you as an employee who is a team player.
     
  7. Your holiday will be less expensive - By the time people return to work, you will be planning your holiday. Your lesuire will be less expensive, holiday places will be at a cheaper cost, you will have more freedom.
