Craz-e TV is looking for presenters

Craz-e is giving spunky and charismatic youngsters a chance to become presenters.

Anyone between the ages of 16 and 22 who wants to join the Craz-e family can apply by sending an audition video via email or by posting it on the Crazetv Facebook page by no later than Thursday, 20 March 2014.

Videos must not be longer than a minute and 30 seconds (1:30) and applicants must live in Johannesburg, or be willing to move to Johannesburg.

Each week, top 5 videos will be chosen and posted on the Facebook page. Viewers will decide who goes through to the semi-finals by voting for their favourite by simply clicking like on the video.

The semi-finalists will be notified by Monday, 24 March 2014 and the finals will be aired on Craz-e World Live on e.tv on Thursday, 27 March 2014.

The Craz-e team have some pointers on how to submit a video:

Some things to remember:

1)   Your cellphone camera can take great videos, as long as you’re in the right place with good light.

2)   Get a friend to help you record the video, but don’t have a lot of people around you – just in case they make noise while you’re recording.

3)   Your video must not be longer than 1:30 (1 MINUTE 30 SECONDS)

4)   Your video must not be bigger than 1024 MB (1GB)

5)   You can talk about anything you want, and you can use any of the Craz-e shows as examples. All we want to see is your talent as a presenter!

Important Notes:

·      Remember to stand somewhere that has a lot of light, but don’t stand with all the light behind you. Rather look into the light so it lights you up from the front.

·      If there’s wind blowing outside, rather stand indoors. The wind can ruin the sound of your video and we might not be able to hear you talking.

·      Whoever is holding the phone for the recording –Hold it very still. If you move around a lot, it gets confusing to watch, and the movement also ruins the sound of the video.

Recording the video:

·      Option 1 – Open the camera on your phone and switch it to video camera mode.

·      Option 2 – Open the video camera on your phone.

·      As soon as you’ve rehearsed your lines and are ready to go – Hit the “Record” button.

·      Remember to be yourself when you’re presenting.

·      When you’re finished, stop the recording.

·      If your phone doesn’t save things automatically, make sure you save your video.

Sending the video via email to craze@etv.co.za

·      Address it to craze@etv.co.za

Subject: Craz-e Presenter Audition. Add the video file as an attachment on theemail. Remember to put your name on the email.

·      Make sure that the attachment of your video gets uploaded successfully.

·      Press send and start crossing your fingers that you make it to the next round!
