Seminar to help sisters gain control

CONQUERORS through Christ ministries will be holding its yearly women empowerment seminar soon.

The seminar will take place on October 15 to 16 at the Atteridgeville Community Hall in Tshwane.

There will be engaging dialogue, uplifting speeches and enthralling entertainment, all aimed at empowering women to embrace their purpose and to conquer all spheres of their lives.

Pastor Faith Ngwale, the host for the seminar, says the aim of the event is to give women information that they can use to improve their lives.

"Our biggest aim is to encourage self-reliance and self-help programmes that will motivate women to take control of their financial destiny, Ngwale says.

"We also aim to provide women with a networking platform and to foster a strong partnership with companies participating in the seminar."

The first day of the seminar will comprise workshops where government representatives, community organisations and business enterprises will lead women in discussions about issues and challenges that they face while at the same time assist them to identify solutions to these challenges.

The second day will see powerful, successful and highly influential women gracing the seminar.

This year, keynote speakers will include representatives from leading financial services group Sanlam, the Department of Trade and Industry, Ministry for Women, Children and People with Disability, Department of Public Works, Kloof Forestry, Department of Correctional Services and Makwetla and Associates.

Reverend Rita Koranye-Ankrah, who is a community developer and leadership-management expert from Ghana, will be the preacher.

Previous speakers included Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the former public works minister Thoko Didiza and Dr Nana Rawlings, the former first lady of Ghana.

The seminar will also give entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their wares throughout the two days.
