Anthony Hamilton is embarking on what has become something of a pilgrimage to South Africa.

He makes it clear that Mzansi agrees with his soul.

"This country is one that I can completely identify myself with. From the style, food and spirit of the people, to the shades of perfection and history of a mighty people. I'm coming home."

Hamilton touches down in August to perform at the Soulful Night concert which he touts as: "A night where the music and the people meet. A place where memories and dreams dance together to create hope, happiness, it's a sexy place."

The concert falls in Women's Month and he reckons the timing is perfect.

"From my mother to all the amazing women in my life. They've shaped me and given me purpose. To learn love, patience and priority has come from a woman," he said.

Ever the romantic, Hamilton said he lets women know how beautiful and important they are at every turn. "I open doors and just a smile of appreciation lets them know they are celebrated."

He promises a special night. "I give it all. I leave it all on the table and refuse to do anything less. I give from a place that's pure and real.

"It outlives and translates far longer than a fly-by-night hot boy. When I hit the stage, it's my time and attention is demanded by simply being what the people have been waiting for," he said.

When he's not making music Hamilton shares that he enjoys life, especially fatherhood.

"I like creating greeting cards, journals, new talent and readying for a new album soon."
