“Generations: The Legacy” screen siren Thando Thabethe is jetting off to Assago, near Milan in Italy, to attend the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).

Thabethe has been selected as the host for the official red carpet with MTVza, 5FM and SmirnoffSA.

Speaking to SowetanLIVE on Wednesday, Thabethe revealed that she will depart to Italy on Thursday.

Furthermore, Thabethe says that she will be diarizing her EMAs experience on social media and crossing live to 5FM throughout the weekend while pre-recording her journey for TV broadcast at a later stage.

“I’m looking forward to the red carpet. It’s probably bigger than a South African red carpet. To be part of that experience, to witness it live is very exciting,” Thabethe says.

Taking place on Sunday, 25 October, the EMAs will be hosted by British crooner Ed Sheeran as well as Orange is the New Black actress Ruby Rose.

With everyone from Kanye West to Rihanna nominated, and international acts such as Pharrell Williams confirmed to perform on the night, Thabethe says she is hoping to run into Rihanna on the red carpet.

Thabethe points out that she will be wearing a sexy Quiteria & George number on the night. Thabethe was one of the celebrities that walked the runway for the couture designer duo two weeks ago.

“It’s a short sexy number. Very dramatic. It will stand out that’s for sure. It’s beautiful. It’s what you will expect from Quiteria & George,” Thabethe adds.

So what can Generations: The Legacy fans expect from her character Nolwazi in the next couple of months?

“I think the next few months will probably be the most dramatic we have seen with the show so far. With my character and the show as a whole,” Thabethe teases.
