Rihanna's Diamonds Tour comes to SA

Rihanna's official announcement was made this morning (Monday, 08/04/13)

After Big Concerts spent the whole weekend dropping hints, Heat magazine took it upon itself to announce that Rihanna will be performing in South Africa.

The 25 year old singer is set to perform at FNB Stadium Johannesburg on Sunday 13th October 2013 and Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday 16th October 2013 as part of her ‘Diamonds’ world tour.

This will not be her first time to perform in the country. In 2006 she was Jay-Z’s opening act and performed songs off her first and second album.

Rihanna has sold over 30-million albums and 120-million singles worldwide and has received seven Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, 18 Billboard Music Awards and two Brit Awards.

In 2012, Forbes ranked her as the fourth most powerful celebrity of 2012 , with earnings of $53-million between May 2011 and May 2012. That same year, Time magazine named Rihanna one of the most influential people in the world.

Love or hate her Riri has proved to be a diva in her own right.

Tickets for the Diamonds World Tour in South Africa will go on sale for Johannesburg on Thursday 11 April at 9am priced R330 – R930 and in Cape Town on Friday 12 April at 9am priced R275 – R820.
