SULTRY singer and television presenter Thembi Seete has been unveiled as the Free State celebrity choirmaster for M-Net's music reality TV show Clash Of The Choirs SA.

Seete, the multi-talented kwaito star best known for her work with the iconic Boom Shaka group, has the task of finding the 20 best voices to form a special choir to be pitted against those being supervised by Zakes Bantwini for Gauteng, Zwai Bala for Mpumalanga, Khaya Mthethwa for KwaZulu-Natal and Judith Sephuma for Limpopo.

The choirs will compete for a R500000 grand prize, of which R250000 will be destined for charity and R250000 for the members of the winning ensemble.

"I'm so excited to be part of Clash of the Choirs SA," Seete gushed.

"I can't wait to hear the talent that's out there. I love music, people and the arts.

"I know I'm going to learn a lot and have fun while searching for the best choir to represent the Free State." - Bafana Mahlangu
