Teargas hits number one spot

LOCAL hip-hop lovers seem to be lapping up Teargas' new album, Number Number, the fourth offering from the award-winning group.

On the best-selling charts with Musica stores nationwide, the hip-hop trio outsell DJ Vetkuk vs Mahoota's Dinaledi, which comes second, and Zahara's anticipated DVD, Beginning, set for third spot.

Musica's Wendy Mitchell confirmed their number one spot.

A spot check of music shops across the country revealed that most shops had sold out their first batch and were trading on their second batch.

Sandton and Rosebank Cavendish Mega stores were sold out in the middle of last week, while the Musica at the Mall of the North was also sold out.
