Boy George will flee Olympics

The 'Karma Chameleon' singer is not excited about the upcoming 2012 Games - which kick off in the UK capital on July 27 - and is going to go on holiday to Ibiza to avoid the sporting event.

When asked if he is excited about the Olympics, he replied: "I think I will be away, thank god. My family come from over that way and its already starting to be a nightmare ... I will luckily be in Ibiza."

Although George - real name George O'Dowd - is not a fan of the Olympics his appreciation of one-time pop enemy Madonna has grown.

Several years ago the 51-year-old musician branded the pop superstar a "vile, hideous, horrible human being with no redeeming qualities" but he admits his attitude to her has changed.

In an interview on UK radio station Magic 105.4, he said: "I have apologised to Madonna ... I don't think she has accepted my apology though".

"As you get old, you sort of start to appreciate people more."
