GET your bikinis and shorts ready, South Africa's biggest party weekend is upon us.

Once again thousands will descend on Pilanesberg's Sun City Resort to shake off the cold at the Stimorol Springbreak 2011.

For many teenagers, the annual jamboree is a rite of passage.

The event attracts thousands of teenagers and their parents to Sun City annually. They for drive hours on end from various provinces to the luxury casino and resort for a weekend of fun and basking in the sun.

This year's event will be staged from September 30 to October 2.

It promises to be a fun-filled event, with good music, extreme sports, dancing and partying under the sun.

For most revellers one of the biggest catches is The Valley of Waves - the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City.

It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon, and a 6500m² wave pool with a palm-fringed beach.

Hydraulic mechanisms can generate a 1,8m wave every 90 seconds.

It offers exhilarating games, rides and water slides for those seeking fun and adventure.

The weekend of the springbreak will kick off with Paul Rotheram, John Walland and Paul Almeida bringing the hottest beats to The Valley of Waves.

On Saturday afternoon adrenalin pumping activities will include an array of sports such as wake boarding, trail biking and dance crew performances.

Things will be spiced up by a "Mr and Miss Stimorol Infinity" contest on stage.

A number of DJs, including DJ Switch, DJs Grant and Anele from 5fm, and John Walland will rock the beach on Saturday.
