Break for artistic juveniles

AN exciting musical concept Up & Coming will be launched in style at the Bassline, Newtown, Johannesburg tomorrow.

The musical aims to give undiscovered talent a platform.

The concept will showcase musical talent primarily within the African, Soul, Latin, R&B, jazz and hip-hop genres on a monthly basis.

Event coordinator Mandisa Bardill said: "In as much as these performers can be described as undiscovered, they all have a solid background in live stage performance.

"They've been part of musical ensembles such as Diamonds & Dust, Joyous Celebration and My Girl & Stamping.

"The beauty of the Up & Coming concept is that you will get the freshness of new sounds accompanied by experienced musicians.

"What we're doing with this series is reviving the South African tradition of live music being available to deserving talent.

"We want to provide audiences with a destination for new, incredible music."
