Zuma appoints Kuben Naidoo as new central bank deputy governor

President Jacob Zuma has appointed Kuben Naidoo as a central bank deputy governor, taking the place of Lesetja Kganyago who was promoted to head the institution last year, the presidency said on Friday.

Prior to the appointment, which takes effect from April 1, Naidoo served as an advisor to the governor of the Reserve Bank. He also remains a member of its Monetary Policy Committee.
