Four Orlando Pirates players nominated for CAF Awards

Orlando Pirates players Oupa Manyisa, Thamsanqa Gabuza, Kermit Erasmus and goalkeeper Felipe Ovono have been nominated for 2015 CAF's Africa-based Player of the Year awards.

Pirates defeated Egyptian giants, Al Ahly 5-3 in their semi-final tie a week ago.

The CAF awards are held annually to honour footballers who have excelled in various sections of the game.

The classy Buccaneers managed to reach their second final of CAF Confederation Cup since 2013.

The Soweto giant will meet nine times Tunisian League champions Etoile du Sahel for CAF honours in two legs, with Orlando Stadium likely to be a venue for the opening clash on November 21.

Gabuza and Erasmus have been phenomenal throughout the tournament, having managed to score crucial goals to direct their side to the semi-finals.
