Sangweni, Makola out of CAF clash

Orlando Pirates suspended duo Siyabonga Sangweni and Mpho Makola have been withdrawn from the team to play against AS Kalouma in the CAF Confederations Cup 2nd leg at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Pirates coach Eric Tinkler will have to rely on the likes of Ayanda Gcaba, Happy Jele, Thabo Rakhale and Thabo Qalinge as a replacement for the missing duo.

“Football is a game of two halves. We are experienced enough to know that we cannot look too much into the first leg’s result because that could lead to the players being complacent”, he said on the Bucs official website.

“We respect our opposition and we will do all we can to prepare thoroughly for the second leg.”

Buccaneers come into Saturday's clash with a comfortable 2-0 advantage from the first leg.

Tinkler is well aware of not taking the opposition lightly.
