Papic won't curb instincts

Kosta Papic says his Polokwane City side will continue to play attacking football as they front up to one of the Premier Soccer League's form teams, SuperSport United, in a Nedbank Cup last-32 game at Atteridgeville tonight (7.30pm kickoff).

"Every game is difficult these days so you cannot look at one opponent or another and try to say this one is harder," Papic said.

"We concentrate on what we can do and we will continue to play with the same style that we have all season and if we get that right then we can win.

"The problem for us is when the players on the pitch try to change things, like they did against Moroka Swallows last time. We must just maintain what we are doing well."

City play a high-tempo game that sees them attack in their numbers, but they are often caught short at the back.

Papic has no plans to try and play more defensively at SuperSport, though.

"Football is a simple game, really. You have to try and win the game. The harder you try and win, the more chance you have," he said.

Meanwhile, under-pressure Moroka Swallows coach Fani Madida knows another defeat at University of Pretoria will place his job under even more scrutiny. The Birds travel to the Tuks Stadium tonight.
