We won't park bus - Papic

KOSTA Papic has warned his Polokwane City charges against applying the ultra-defensive system - or "parking the bus" - against Mpumalanga Aces at the Kanyamazane Stadium tomorrow (3.30pm kickoff).

He said there was a tendency by certain clubs to fall back into their defensive zone after taking a lead.

"It's dangerous to defend or park the bus like other people believe," said Papic.

"It allows the other team to recover and fight back. I will not allow that in my team. Not even a battering can stop our boys from changing our all-attacking style of play. We attack all the time.

"That is why one of my players, Puleng Tlolane, is the joint leading goalscorer in the PSL with six goals."

City, who are 12th on the log, produced rip-roaring football in their last two matches. They blasted Free State Stars 5-2 and Wits 2-0.

But Aces coach Clive Barker was not fazed by all the talk. "It's good for them," he said. "It's going to be a tough game, though."

Meanwhile, Moroka Swallows host University of Pretoria at the Dobsonville Stadium tomorrow at 6pm.
