On October 22, the German brand announced the "Enlightened Pack," a new option for its customizable football boots in which the three stripes on the sides of the shoes are made with an innovative reflective material that shines under the stadium's floodlights.
Players will be wearing the new technology at upcoming UEFA Champions League games.
This is not the first time Adidas has used reflective technology in its sportswear, but it is the first time the innovation will be available on a soccer shoe. Formerly, the innovation was available only for American football players through the adiZero Smoke cleats in "Spotlight."
The Enlightened Pack, one of several customization options available through the miadidas platform, will be available on the adiZero f50, predator, nitrocharge and 11Pro boots.
