An Ethiopian man has been arrested for alleged pitch invasion at an African Cup of Nations (Afcon) match between Ethiopia and Burkina Faso, Mpumalanga police said
“He jumped the barricade wall and ran onto the pitch while the game was still in progress [on Friday],” Colonel Leonard Hlathi said.
The 35-year-old man would appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
