Foskor race for Namakgale

MORE than 1 000 athletes, including Kenyans, are expected to compete in the 22nd instalment of the Foskor Half-Marathon in Namakgale, Phalaborwa, in Limpopo on Saturday.

The race starts at 1.30pm and there will be other events preceding the main event. The F21, as this annual event is widely known, attracts both professional and amateur athletes from South Africa and neighbouring countries.

The organisers of the race, Foskor's mining division, said they anticipated about 1 200 athletes on the day. There will also be the 10km race, staff fun run, 21km relay and development races. The programme starts at 7am.
