Schillo's heart with Spurs

BAFANA skipper Steven Pienaar left Tottenham last week, but his affections remain with his former teammates at White Hart Lane.

He said yesterday that he would be cheering for Spurs when they take on Liverpool at Anfield tonight.

Tottenham will be trying to haul in the two Manchester clubs at the top of the English Premier League log.

Pienaar, who was given only limited game time at Tottenham by manager Harry Redknapp, said: "It was hard for me at Spurs. I got injured and I never really got a chance because they were playing so well. But I have asked for tickets off some of the guys so that I can support Tottenham at Liverpool."

With his experience of hardship at Spurs, Pienaar showed sympathy for former teammate Luka Modric, who has been targeted by other clubs.

Meanwhile, Uruguay international Luis Suarez will return to the Liverpool side tonight, having served an eight-game suspension. He was banned after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United's defender Patrice Evra at Anfield in October.
