Spoils shared

LIMPOPO Vodacom League club Super Eagles' owner-coach Harry Ledwaba says his players will share R15000 of the R50000 first prize from the MTN Limpopo Baobab Community Games, which they won on Friday.

Eagles defeated SAB Regional League outfit Maeba Chiefs 4-1 in a one-sided final at Seshego Stadium. Chiefs walked away with the R20000 runners-up prize. The 30 other teams received R1000 each.

The tournament was made possible by Black Leopards, their sponsors MTN and Safa Limpopo.

Ledwaba, who is the son of former Ria Stars boss Ria Ledwaba, said: "I believe that the players will be motivated by sharing part of the prize. The other R35000 will be used to address other logistics, especially transport because there is a lot of travelling throughout the province.

"I want to commend the boys for their superb performance considering that it was a second- string team as our first team was playing a league match against Baroka FC."
