Free trains for Soweto derbies

FREE trains will ferry soccer lovers to Saturday night's Wafa Wafa final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at Soccer City.

Stadium Management South Africa and the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa have also reached an agreement to provide free trains for the SA Premiership derby clash between the bitter Soweto rivals at the same venue next Saturday, September 17.

Valid match ticket holders will be able to catch the train at the main hub stations - Pretoria Station, Centurion and Johannesburg Park Station.

SMSA chief executive Jacques Grobbelaar said the routes covered by the trains include Pretoria, Springs, Johannesburg, Naledi and Vereeniging.

Ten trains will provide an express service to ferry at least 2000 passengers per train to Nasrec Station.
